#5. The Punisher

My Favorite Punisher Stories- "Up Is Down, Black Is White", "The Cell", "Circle Of Blood", "Welcome Back Frank", And "Born"

The Punisher's first appearance was The Amazing Spider-Man #129 (Feb. 1974), Gerry Conway envisioned The Punisher as a new Spider-Man antagonist. On the cover of Amazing Spider-Man #129, The Punisher was sold to the reader to be the most lethal assassin, someone who could stop Spider-Man in his tracks.

The Punisher is one of those characters that most people in the Marvel universe actually hate, because he chooses to kill every enemy he encounters. The reason I love The Punisher is because he is so different than every other hero. Frank Castle is not interested in throwing rapist, murders, terrorist, and robbers in jail, he would rather but a bullet in you're head and stop you then and there.

#4. DareDevil

My Favorite DareDevil Stories- "DareDevil: Yellow", "The Man Without Fear", "Brother, Take My Hand" "The Great Divide" And "UnderBoss"

DareDevil's first appearance was DareDevil #1 (April 1964), living in the rough streets of Hell's Kitchen, Matt Murdock's dad was known was the infamous Battlin Jack Murdock.

DareDevil is also another character that has no issues with killing. But he does not do it to the length's that his freind Frank Castle does. DareDevil is just like The Punisher in the fact that is unique. Matt's biggest crutch if that he is blind, and that everything get's taken away from him. We all may not be blind but we have all had someone... a loved one be taken away from us.

#3. Batman

My Favorite Batman Stories- "Batman Year: One", "Batman: The Long Halloween", "The Killing Joke", "Hush", "Batman: The Black Mirror", And "Court Of The Owls"

Batman's first appearance was Detective Comics #27 (May 1939), Batman is the he's the world's greatest detective, he’s the world’s premier martial artist, and the world’s broodiest billionaire. By day Bruce Wayne is an entrepreneur, and by night he fight's in the streets of Gotham as the Caped Crusader.

What makes Batman such a great character, and why he stands the test of time is that he has the some of the best villains in all of comics and the best supporting cast. From The Joker, Mr. Freeze, Commissioner Gordon, NightWing, CatWoman, Robin, and Alfred Pennyworth Batman's supporting cast is just as interesting if not more interesting than Batman himself.

#2. The X-Men

My Favorite X-Men Stories- "Mutant Massacre", "Divided He Stands", "Messiah Complex", "Days Of Future Past", "Return Of The King", And "Mutant Genesis"

The X-Men's first appearance was The X-Men #1 (September 10, 1963), The X-Men are a group of Mutants that are repressed against because they are different. The X-Men just like Batman have a stupendous supporting cast. From Professor Charles Xavier, Magneto, Mystique, The Juggernaut, Cyclops, Emma Frost and many more. All of them have the same goal, does not matter if they are apart of The X-Men or The BrotherHood Of Evil Mutants they just want to protect Mutant kind.

#1. Spider-Man

My Favorite Spider-Man Stories- "The Conversation", "Nothing Can Stop The Juggernaut", "Spider-Man No More", "Kraven's Last Hunt", And "Torment"

Spider-Man's first appearance was Amazing Fantasy #15 (Aug. 1962), once again just like Batman, The X-Men, and DareDevil, what makes these characters so fantastic is their supporting cast. Black Cat, Green Goblin, Aunt May, The Sandman, The Lizard, The Juggernaut, and of course many more. Behind the Spider-Man mask there is Peter Parker, Peter is the everyday man he's not rich, he does not live in a mansion with a bunch of other heroes. Peter has money troubles, girl troubles, he does not look the best, etc. That's something we can all relate to but when he put's on that Spider-Man mask he becomes a much more confident, and that's something we all inspire to be is confident.
