On the heels of the epic 'Ant Man' trailer, concept art, and images from the film we have some awesome news. If you don't remember Marvel revealed all their movies all the way up to the year 2019, one of them was 'Captain America Civil War' which will kick off Marvel's Phase 3. Anthony Mackie has revealed some details on the much anticipated third installment in the Captain America franchise including when and where it will be filmed.
The film may seem so far off, but Anthony Mackie revealed in a interview with B96 Chicago that filiming is starting very soon and he's very excited about it:
"We start shooting in April. So, it’s gonna be a lot of
flying and fighting for about five months… and I’m not mad at
The actor, who is reprising his role as Falcon in the upcoming film, went on to reveal that directors Joe and Anthony Russo will be filming in Puerto Rico, Berlin, and Atlanta. We’re most intrigued about the Berlin location, as it was revealed not long ago that Daniel Bruhl will be playing a villain in ‘Captain America: Civil War’ (though not the main villain, which will be Frank Grillo’s Crossbones). According to reports, he’ll also likely appear as the villain in ‘Doctor Strange.’ Given Bruhl’s German heritage (he’s also part Spanish), the Berlin location seems to indicate that perhaps the speculation that Bruhl is playing Cap villain Baron Zemo could be correct.
This film is one of the most anticipated upcoming films from Marvel Studios, as it introduces the major comic book arc in which Cap and Iron Man face off over superhero rights, and our beloved heroes are divided between the two sides. The film will begin the path to ‘Avengers: Infinity War,’ which is going to be so huge that it has to be split into two films. For once, we’re not annoyed that a studio is splitting a franchise film into two parts.
‘Captain America: Civil War’ will hit theaters on May 6, 2016, while ‘Doctor Strange’ hits on November 4, 2016.
