Bethesda have yet to announce a game that is to be released for 2015. Is this really the year that we could get Fallout 4's release date for Xbox One, PS4 and PC? Are thy concealing it, waiting for the right moment to release it upon an unsuspecting community of fans?! Well, once Bethesda announce any kind of news and blow all the rumours away, I'll be sure to celebrate! But what about Fo4's setting? Could it be one of these cities?!
The setting of Fallout 4 will be just as vital to the game's success as its plot. Therefore, it's important that Bethesda select an area of value and intrigue. If it was set in one of these locations, which one would you pick?
Fallout 4 Setting - Could it Be One of These?!
New York is a popular location when it comes to settings for games, especially when it's being destroyed, such as in Crysis 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Therefore, would its iconic presence undermine the individuality of the Fallout series? Do you think walking through these iconic streets would work for Fo4, or would you prefer somewhere more remote and untouched by the industry?
Dense pine forests and radiated swamps sound like a fascinating location for the Fallout players to make their way through. American films and games tend to ignore the more rural settings throughout the country when it comes to setting a story. The protagonists tend to only visit these locations when they're finding some oddball genius to help them on their mission.
I feel that a culturally rich area like Louisiana would be fascinating for a player to see how a nuclear fallout would affect it. Its wide array of European influences in terms of architecture would make every building you find still standing a fascinating sight to behold! I'm all for seeing a place like this in Fallout's future.
The city by the bay. If there's one thing that puts a game's graphics to the test, it's its depiction of water. The famous rain that this city gets would be a great setting for an apocalyptic adventure. Perhaps there could be factions that have blocked off the bridge and hold either side of the structure. Perhaps we have to find away across as one of our missions. Do you think San Fran could work? But what about outside of America?
Seeing as I live in Berlin myself, I'd love to see a video game show off its surroundings. I tire from games continually set in the US, it gets boring after a while. That's what I adored about Sleeping Dogs, it was like entering a whole new world. One rich with a culture and style that isn't usually depicted in video games.
Here in Berlin there are plenty of dark clubs that could serve as great locations for a few enemies to hide out. I can so see a huge faction setting up camp in the famous Berghain club. What do you think? Would you like to see Fallout take place outside of the US?
Setting Fallout 4 in Beijing would be an incredible experience as it would grant the opportunity to explore the capitalist culture’s polar opposite. This world is filled with so many cultural differences that emerging from a vault in this country would be quite the spectacle. We'd also feel quite lost in this world, just like the character would once we emerge from our underground safety. And is that what Fallout is all about? Immersing you in a world where you feel lost at the beginning but carve out your own understanding and path?

So what do you guys think? Would you like Fallout 4 to be set in one of these locations or do you have your own ideas about where Bethesda should go next? We have a long while to wait until we hear about Fallout 4's release date for Xbox One and PS4, but let's hope Bethesda hurry up and stop making this such an arduous wait.
