If you haven't seen "[Gone Girl](movie:833123)", then first off, what are you doing here? Go and see it! And secondly, I'd turn back to this article after seeing said film, because Spoilers may be mentioned.

One of the more surprising Box Office hits of 2014 was David Fincher's incredible thriller "Gone Girl", a nicely finished thriller that left nothing warranting a sequel....but could one be a possibility?

Gillian Flynn, author and screenwriter of "Gone Girl" has suggested that a sequel could work. In a recent interview, Flynn said the following:

"There could be a sequel at some point if everyone is game to get the gang back together, it could be really fun a few years from now to pick it up and see what those crazy Dunnes are up to a few years down the road and if they got on - not well I don't think."

Now "Gone Girl" is one of my absolute favorites of 2014, coming in second just behind "[Birdman](movie:780317)", I absolutely loved it. I am though very conflicted with these suggestions. I would love to return to these characters, seeing how they're relationship developed after the unexpected result of the first film would be a very interesting idea. When "Gone Girl" wrapped up, I was left wanting more, and not because the movie didn't deliver, believe did, but I wanted to stay in this world with these flawed and frankly despicable characters. And I believe there is another story to be told here, what did happen to the Dunne's after their situation in the first film?

My conflicting idea is that I do not want another filmmaker to touch this material, David Fincher planted his mark all over that film and it is very distinctively a David Fincher film. If Fincher and the cast are back then I am completely on board, otherwise, I'm happy with leaving this film.

As we know from the film, Amy Dunne, played perfectly by Rosamund Pike, is one crazy bitch and nothing can be presumed of her. She can snap at any moment and no move of hers is expected. I want to know what happened the night the film ended, I want to see what happens next! For all we know she attempted to murder Nick in his sleep.

Of course this movie doesn't need a sequel, but if one was announced, I'd be the first in line! What about you guys? Do we need a Gone Girl 2? Do you even want one? Let me know in the comment section below!
