Leigh Janiak's 'Honeymoon' is a horror movie I would suggest to anyone. Not just a fan of horror films either, but anybody in general.
I got a chance to watch it recently, thinking it would just be another random horror movie that wouldn't live up to the classic's before it. But it definitely hold's its own.
Now I don't want to give away the movie very much, but the main plot is simple. It features young newlyweds, Paul (Harry Treadaway) and Bea (Rose Leslie). Both of which decide take their honeymoon vacation to a remote cottage by a lake. But after arriving, something very strange happens to Bea in the middle of the night. And as time movies forward, Paul can see his wife is slowly starting to act stranger and stranger. Until finally, Paul figures out what's actually going on. But was he to late figuring this out? You'll have to find out yourself.
Now while this is just the simple tale of a honeymoon gone wrong, it still makes an impact because it's so well thought out, and so well written. The acting is also on point with Rose Leslie (Bea) and Harry Treadaway (Paul) playing their roles the best they possibly could have.
And don't get me started on how scary the movie actually is. Rising above popular horror films like 'Annabelle' or any recent 'Paranormal Activity' movie. The creepiness gives the movie even more of an edge over most of today's horror.
5 Thing to look forward to in 'Honeymoon'
- Very Intense Moments
- A Very, VERY Scary Movie
- Some Pretty Graphic Stuff

Like I said, this is definitely a great movie to watch with the whole family (kidding) But really, 'Honeymoon' is 100% worth a watch. So stop what you're doing, buy the movie. And enjoy a pretty darn good 87 minutes of pure terror!
