I personally have been a comic book fan for a very long time (25 years) but more than a fan I have a passion for the industry. So over the years of going to major comic book conventions and dealing with the industry the way I have, I sometimes have interesting interactions with some very talented people. Case in point......

So while on a late night Facebook browsing session I came across a new post by award-winning comic book writer Paul Jenkins (Inhumans, Origin). Paul, who has been announced recently by Todd McFarlane (creator of Spawn) as the newest writer for the Spawn comics series starting with the incoming "Spawn: Resurrection" one-shot before taking over the regular series with issue #251. This all comes after the epic grand return of Al Simmons in the monumental issue! So I seen Paul Jenkins make his grand annoument of his impending arrival on Spawn and he dared someone to ask about the Sword Spawn has been seen carrying.....he actually DARED someone!!

Well that sucker ended up being me and here is the playful interaction that also reveals at least some new info on Spawns new badass weapon!!

Yup, he got me!! That actually made me laugh out loud I told him that in my reply.

Paul Jenkins, is going to be an absolutely interesting fit for the world of Spawn and I for one cannot wait to see what is in store for the return of Al Simmons. Paul has been breaking trends and doing his own thing after making a huge splash in the comic book world with hits like Top Cows "Darkness", The "Inhumans" Marvel Knight series and the Wolverine game changer "Origin"! Jenkins will be joined by fan fave and ultra cool artist Jonboy Meyers (Marvel), who has done some great stuff in comics for quite some time now! The new team and new direction is a much-needed fresh start for Spawn!! I'm kind of amazed that we have come this far from the very first Spawn drawing from Todd (above) all the way to Image comics first issue #250 and beyond! I have read from sources that we should hopefully find out why Spawn has endured this long!!

Now the real question is........just how much crazy SHIT is that sword actually going to do?!!
