When I think of Metal Gear Solid, the first thing that pops into mind is the tense and gripping gameplay, the slightly convoluted narrative, how much I want my own Metal Gear Rex and why isn't Quiet wearing more clothing in her Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain trailer? Being a sniper is a cold business, literally.

Despite how much MGS creator Hideo Kojima may take his brainchild's subject matter seriously, you cannot deny that there are some very funny moments in the game, as beautifully highlighted by this very funny parody fan-film created by YouTube heroes Fury Fingers.

Tiny Breakdown!

Size doesn't matter.

Introducing Our Hero...

Now there's a Solid Snake, being all sneaky and stuff...

I Want A Codec!

Didn't you? Actually, wait... Facetime... Skype...

Huh, What Was That Noise?

Not so stealthy now, Snake!

He managed to fool the bad guys with his helpful cardboard box...

But they've got some smarts. Or maybe he just looked back?

The Chase Is On!

I wonder if Snake carried all of these boxes with him?

Knowing that there is a Metal Gear Solid movie in the works, I really do hope it retains some of the silliness that has become canon in the epic franchise. I guess that'll remain to be seen. But we can hope...
