I think we are all excited for the next 5 years of live-action films, from both DC and Marvel Comics. As we wait in the metaphorical waiting line, we all watch the animated shows to get us pumped up for the next upcoming film.
Here are some of the voice actors and actresses who have played characters that I've personally enjoyed. Based on the upcoming films from 2015 to 2020, we're bound to get a lot of animated action too, and these are the guys I would like to see reprise their respective roles.
Roger Craig Smith as Batman
He is no Kevin Conroy, true, but I think we can all agree that he would've been the perfect New 52 voice of a younger Batman, for Justice League: War and Throne of Atlantis.
Jennifer Hale as Ms Marvel/Captain Marvel
She has voiced so many amazing characters for both Marvel and DC but the voice that stands out to me most would have to be Carol Danvers from Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. I really hope that in the near future she becomes her official voice actress, too. She takes on the character so well to the point where I feel she is Carol Danvers.
Josh Keaton as Green Lantern
I've enjoyed countless voices Josh has brought to life, but one of the characters I really want to see him make a comeback as is none other than Hal Jordan. I have a deep respect for Nathan Fillion as a voice actor for pre-new 52 GL, since DC is starting from scratch with a younger and much less experienced Justice League. His take on Hal from Green Lantern: The Animated Series would be perfect for the New 52 animated films.
Kate Higgins as Scarlet Witch
Since Age of Ultron was announced, you would think you'd be seeing a lot more of Wanda Maximoff or, as we know her, Scarlet Witch. Personally, I think that Kate Higgins did a fantastic job as her in Wolverine and the X-Men. We need to see more of her in future animated shows.
Crispin Freeman as Scott Lang/Ant-Man
With the [Ant-Man](movie:9048) film coming later this year, we need to see more of Scott Lang in the Marvel Animated Universe. To me, Crispin Freeman gave a different perspective on the character in Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, being an ex-criminal you could hear how he wanted to change his ways for the well being of his daughter - which made his performance more believable. I think we need to give Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man, a break and see Scott Lang take the spotlight as Ant-Man and see where it goes.
Maggie Q as Wonder Woman
Since the releases of Justice League: War and Throne of Atlantis, I haven't been very happy with the recent choices for the voice of Wonder Woman. Her voice has just been way over the top. My voice of choice would be Maggie Q from her work in Young Justice! She would be a perfect choice to bring back the role. Her voice comes across as young but full of wisdom. I would love to see her take on this younger, more inexperienced version of Wonder Woman, from the New 52 universe.
