My thoughts

I was hooked when I knew it was by Paul Harris Boardman & Scott Derrickson, who are legends in my eyes, writing and directing. I'm a big fan of Derrickson's other work. So I just knew this movie had to be gold.

This is not your average demon horror movie! With it's beautiful cinematography, great acting and brilliant casting. The simple yet alluring story line is action packed. Full of voodoo, demons, cryptic messages and some great locations, as well as some spectacular make up.

Plus the scariest stuffed animal I have ever seen, which will haunt my nightmares for as long as I live now.

This film will make you want to re read your old Constantine comics.

not to mention the film is based on actual events.

Summary

I'm giving this movie 10 stars based on so many factors.

Make up, simplicity, quality, great writing alongside great acting and all round brilliance, my favorite thing is that its gripping. If you want to buy a film that's got thrills, chills, filled with gore, action, blood, guts and something that's just plain creepy then I highly recommend this fantastic horror. A super enjoyable film really had me sat on the edge of my seat glued to the screen begging to see what happens next.

I think it was a brilliant use of a budget, very well done & money well spent. It's in my top 5 greatest horror films of 2014.

Enjoy and remember its not real...
