Greetings fellow humans the day has finally come... the Fox TV group have said that they are in talks to bring back the popular show 'The X-Files'.

After nine seasons and two films, the fans can just not get enough of it! The show ran from 1993 to 2002 and had approximately 201 episodes, after all of this the fans still want more!

After 13 years of the shows finish they are finally in talks to bring the show back! This was announced by Gary Newman (TV Group Chairman) at Fox's channel TCA presentation.

No idea what the X-Files even is? Well here's a brief synopsis of what you are missing out on!

Two FBI agents, Fox Mulder the believer and Dana Scully the skeptic, investigate the strange and unexplained while hidden forces work to impede their efforts.

Gary Newman also mentioned that he would like to bring back the original stars to show but that isn't confirmed. Gillian Anderson played Dana Scully from 1993 to 2002 and David Duchovny played Fox Mulder for the same length of time.

During the broadcast run of the 'The X-Files' the show won 5 Golden Globes and was nominated for 21 Emmys, pretty impressive if you ask me!

So what are your thoughts? Would you like to see the Gillian and David to reprise their roles or would do you want fresh blood? Bare in mind that Gillian is 46 years old and David is 54 and as the two were FBI agents in show and maximum age for being a special agent is 37 years old nowadays! I mean of course there age can be lied about here - but come on guys, I think we can all agree that they look over 37.

I think it would be awesome for them to reprise their roles but instead of special agents, give them a higher up position where the X-Files department is bigger and is more known, David and Gillian as their characters could be in control of several different agents all at once and we could follow their missions and the occasional episodes where Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) join them on this. I think this could be a great way to give the show a fresh new feeling but also keeping the feeling of the original show.

What would you guys like to see in the potential revived X-Files show?
