[SPOILER ALERT] PLEASE STOP READING IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO READ ANY SPOILERS CONCERNING FUTURE EPISODES OF THE FLASH!
At the start of The Flash, viewers were left in the dark as to who Harrison Wells really was, and what his true intentions were. The midseason finale, seemed to answer that question, but there were those with their doubts. Of course, since then, producers and The Man in the Yellow Suit himself have confirmed that Harrison Wells is The Reverse-Flash.
But of course, things aren't that simple. Producers have confirmed that episode 16, will reveal more details surrounding the death of Barry's mother, Nora Allen, via a flashback but through the viewpoint of The Reverse-Flash.
Executive producer, Andrew Kreisberg says, "I didn’t say it was from Wells’ point of view, I said it was from the Reverse Flash’s point of view." What exactly does this mean? It seemingly points to a safe assumption that there may be more than one Reverse-Flash.
As of now, the only known Reverse-Flash is Wells, the very man who mentors Barry, the individual responsible for shaping Barry into the hero he needs to be.
Despite viewers knowing who The Man in the Yellow Suit is, there is a big twist coming that no one has predicted yet. Grant Gustin recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly, and said, “There’s a big twist that even surprised me. I’ve seen all the predictions online. No one has predicted the big twist that’s coming at the end of this season.”
That's a pretty bold statement that seems to carry a lot of weight. What could this "big twist" be? This twist has to be big enough to hold the viewers attention till its return in the fall. Will Harrison Wells be revealed as a character from the comics? Will The Revese-Flash be a hero for killing Nora Allen? Or will the unexpected really happen? What do you think this big twist is?
The Flash returns tonight with all new episodes at 8pm on The CW.
