Of all of the possible Potter spin-offs, the consistent fan favorite is a movie or series about the lives of the Marauders. For those not in-the-know, this refers to James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Petter Pettigrew - ie. Harry Potter's dad and his crew - at Hogwarts.

This demand can only mean one thing: a Marauders Fan Casting. Please take a look at my humble suggestions and add your own below... Help a Potter fan out, huh?

Note: I've chosen only British actors (to keep consistent with the original HP movies - uh, except for Ezra Miller because he's so, so perfect) and only people born 1990 or after - that makes them all under 25 - I mean, how long can you keep playing a high school student for, right?

Actor: Ezra Miller

Born: 1992

Previous Movies: The Perks of Being a Wallflower, We Need to Talk About Kevin

Sure, James Potter brought forth the Chosen One, but Sirius is the one the fans really care about, amirite? Ezra has that mischievous glint in his eye that school-era Sirius would be proud of...

Actor: Skandar Keyes

Born: 1991

Previous Movies: The Chronicles of Narnia

I know that the fan favorite in HP castings is usually Andrew Garfield, but the dude is 31, and while he could totes look cute in robes, I don't know if that would work. Skandar seems like a good physical match?

Actor: Douglas Booth

Born: 1992

Previous Movies: Great Expectations, Noah

This is a tricky one - Douglas is perhaps too eye-bleedingly beautiful (not my type, per se, but just from a subjective viewpoint) to play Potter, but he does have that distinctive strong jawline that both James and Harry have in the movies... maybe we're better off going with an unknown for this role?

Actor: Will Poulter

Born: 1993

Previous Movies: The Maze Runner

No offense to Will, who's a good-looking guy, but I can just see him with a bit of padding and some ratty dentures. He's a decent actor and could handle the complexities of a duplicitous role like Pettigrew.

I also thought of Game of Thrones' Jack Gleeson - who better to play Pettigrew than confirmed on-screen little turd Joffrey Baratheon - but he's quit acting, sadly.

Actor: Asa Butterfield

Born: 1997

Previous Movies: Hugo, Ender's Game

Asa has masses of big movie experience, and his pale complexion could easily be tweaked to bring Snape's sallow youth forward. Or, if Asa's too busy with his fancy Hollywood career, we could take the obvious option: Benedict Clarke, who played young Snape in the Harry Potter movies!

Actor: Rachel Hurd-Wood

Born: 1990

Previous Movies: Dorian Gray

You have to admit, the resemblance is uncanny. On a different topic, I always found it faintly Oedipal that Harry ends up with Ginny, a loyal red-haired woman who's the spitting image of the mother he never knew...

Actor: Alex Pettyfer

Born: 1990

Previous Movies: I Am Number Four, Magic Mike

Oh, you know that young Lucius Malfoy was a smokin' hot babe, and can't you imagine Tom Felton being the spawn of Alex Pettyfer (through some bizarre case of wormholes and ruptures in the fabric of time and space?)

Actor: Kaya Scodelario

Born: 1992

Previous Movies: The Maze Runner, TV Show Skins

Kaya has the refined bone structure and haughty demeanor for Narcissa Black, the eventual Mrs. Malfoy - and I'm sure she'd rock whatever dye job the Marauders' make-up team threw her way!
