The Hulk, Bruce Banners alter ego, has been ever so popular especially since Mark Ruffalo took the reigns as the big green super-monster. There have been lots of rumors circulating around the internet as to what is going to happen in the fight between the Hulk and Tony Stark wearing the Hulkbuster armor. However, Hulk may look entirely different than what was expected.
Speculations have gone rampant as to what might have caused Hulk to garner reddish eyes and become pissed off at the Avengers which forces Tony Stark to stop his close friend Bruce Banner. Some people have claimed that Hulk is going to be controlled by the Scarlet Witch or she makes him sick in some way. Either way that battle will no doubt be intense and perhaps the highlight of the film. This could also be the point at which the Avengers become separated. The marketing has been primarily focused on this Hulkbuster vs. Hulk battle in the trailers and for good reason. However, it has now been rumored that the Grey Hulk may make an appearance thanks to this picture that has surfaced on the internet:
Why is Hulk grey, not green? It has not been confirmed by anyone that the Grey Hulk will make an appearance however, this picture does bring us a lot of questions with really no answers. As you can see in the photo above, the rest of [The Avengers](movie:9040) and Ultron are pictured except Hulk is not the same. Unless I’m color blind, he is clearly grey and definitely NOT green. Whether this is an actual portrayal of what he will eventually become is anyone’s guess. And for those of you who don’t know what the Grey Hulk looks like here’s a photo:
He’s well, Grey. However, the main difference between Green Hulk and Grey Hulk is the fact that Grey Hulk is smarter than his counterpart. He is also able to control his anger far better than being green. Grey Hulk is also more selfish and is noted for being an a**hole. In the comics, Bruce eventually is able to return to his greenish form however he is now able to better control his anger and can speak a little more. It will be interesting to see what Joss Whedon has in store for Hulk. He really hasn’t been all that popular of a character in the films. The 2003 Hulk movie was very disappointing. The Incredible Hulk from 2008 was pretty good and I personally enjoyed it. However, I feel that Ruffalo is the better Hulk and will have more screen time in Avengers 2: Age of Ultron.
We won’t really know what is in store for Banner but we do know one thing for certain: Hulk will play a very crucial role in this film and possibly determine the future for our Avenger heroes. We will just have to wait and see what will happen to our big green friend on May 1st!
What do you think of the Grey Hulk possibly making an appearance in the film? Do you think they should introduce the Grey Hulk in [The Avengers: Age Of Ultron](movie:293035)? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!
