So when I found out Avengers: Age of Ultron was coming out May 1, 2015 I got super excited. That immediately made 2015 the year to remember for me. The world could end in 2016, but it better not end before Avengers: Age of Ultron comes out. That would ruin my day.
And then I found out Star Wars was rebooting along with Terminator, we were going to get another Fast and Furious, and we were going to be treated with a fantastic new Jurassic Park.
At that moment, I died. I died, then got up and jumped around, and then died again.
I know, I'm sorry. This is just an excuse to get excited again. But seriously, do you guys even know what's coming out in 2015? Well if you don't, I'll fill you in. Here's why 2015 is going to be the best movie year of the decade.
Release Date: February 6, 2015
Director: Andy Wachowski, Lana Wachowski
Cast: Channing Tatum, Mila Kunis, Eddie Redmayne, Sean Bean, James D’Arcy, Douglas Booth, Gugu Mbatha-Raw
I still remember when I saw the first trailer for this movie. At first I was in total shock because it was amazing, and then I realized it had Channing Tatum. And was that Sean Bean? What do you bet he dies somewhere in this movie? This movie looks to not only be visually stunning, but have a very intriguing, complex storyline. Plus, the creators of the Matrix are behind this movie, so what could go wrong?
Release Date: March 6, 2015
Director: Neill Blomkamp
Cast: Hugh Jackman, Sigourney Weaver, Dev Patel
You may wonder why I included this as one of the greats coming out in 2015. Good question. I'm not sure why I did either. But when I watch the trailer I get so many feels; I want Chappie to make it. You know? It looks like it could be one of the best robot stories out there. It has so much potential, but we'll see if it can make it through the test of time.
Fast and Furious 7

Ready for one last ride? Here comes the last Fast and Furious. Here comes the Rock, Vin Diesel, and Jason Statham rip-roaring in their cars to complete one last mission. This movie is going to be a fit ending for the series. I can already tell. The trailers are amazing and the cast is great. It may not be the next Titanic but it will be one of the great movies of the decade.
Avengers: Age of Ultron

If your inner fan-boy doesn't scream when you hear the words Avengers: Age of Ultron you're likely dead inside. The trailer for this movie broke records with the number of youtube views. It's destined to be the most successful movie of all time. And not only that, it looks like it will be the most fun, action packed, intense, comic book movie joy ride any fan could have. It has a stellar cast, incredible trailers, and more than enough hype to be King of the Mountain by May.
Mad Max: Fury Road

Oh what a day! It's the water wars, and that means death, explosions, and car chases. It's all the right stuff. This movie is going to soar to new heights. It has a stellar cast, explosive trailers, and amazing visual effects. I'd be very surprised if this movie doesn't make the list of the greats of 2015.
Release Date: June 12, 2015
Director: Colin Trevorrow
Cast: Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Judy Greer, Jake Johnson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Omar Sy, Brian Tee, Irrfan Khan, BD Wong, Ty Simpkins, Katie McGrath
You know, the idea of dinosaurs running around and eating people shouldn't be the first thing we want to see. But when you weave a John Williams soundtrack behind the movie and then add some great characters, we have a great movie. Chris Pratt, the Star-Lord, and Ty Simpkins, the Iron Man fanatic, are just a few of the talented actors in this movie. Not only is the movie going to hit with the Marvel fans, it'll hit with the fans who saw the first Jurassic Park and I bet you this movie is going to make big bucks.
Release Date: June 19, 2015
Directors: Pete Docter, Ronaldo Del Carmen
Cast: Diane Lane, Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, Mindy Kaling, Kyle MacLachlan, Phyllis Smith, Lori Alan, Lewis Black
Pixar is fabulous at making family-friendly movies that entertain both children and adults. Inside Out looks to be yet another box office crusher. It almost seems like it wants to set itself apart from all the other Pixar movies, and yet at the same time has the Pixar feels all over it. Because it's so unique, so original and hilarious, this movie is going to go down in history as one of the best Pixar movies ever made.
Release Date: July 17, 2015
Director: Peyton Reed
Cast: Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Corey Stoll, Judy Greer, Hayley Atwell, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña
Is it too late to change the name? When Ant-Man was announced, the fans were in disbelief. Were they really going to use a superhero who can shrink to the size of an ant? That'd be weird. But they did. Directors left, actors left, and seems like all was lost. But then the trailer came out and we were all back on our feet clapping for Marvel. They know this movie is going to have one heck of a job keeping up with Avengers: Age of Ultron and I think they've prepared and so this movie will be one of the best superhero movies of the decade.
Release Date: July 24, 2015
Director: Chris Columbus.
Cast: Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Josh Gad, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Monaghan, Brian Cox, Ashley Benson, Jane Krakowski
Our world is under attack by giant mutant space aliens that take the form of classic video games. It's hilariously stupid sounding but looks totally awesome. Who doesn't want to revisit the greats like Pac-man? Add in a great acting lineup like Adam Sandler, Kevin James, and Josh Gad and you've got one hilarious movie.
The Fantastic Four
Release Date: August 7, 2015
Director: Josh Trank
Cast: Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordon
Fantastic Four was not a big hit with me when they released the news they were rebooting the series. Slowly, it's growing on me. I think it can actually be pretty great. Maybe the cast is talented already, or maybe their going for the Marvel stunt and picking people who we don't expect and then they turn out amazing! We'll see from the trailers, but I think Fantastic Four is going to be able to right itself and start a new series in the right direction.
Release Date: November 6, 2015
Director: Steve Martino
Cast: Francesca Capaldi, Noah Schnapp, Venus Schultheis
Given this movie is going up against Spectre, it may not do so hot. But this is Peanuts. We love the Charlie Brown Medley, we love Snoopy, and we love the feeling of going back in time and enjoying old comics. Had this movie been released on any other day besides November 6, this movie could have been one of the best old-time animated movies to come out.
Release Date: November 6, 2015
Director: Sam Mendes
Cast: Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Christoph Waltz, Monica Bellucci, Dave Bautista, Léa Seydoux, Andrew Scott
Skyfall broke all sorts of box office records and rebooted the James Bond series into something that could and will be great. Not only does Daniel Craig play Bond very well, we have fan favorite actors like Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista) and Hook (Christoph Waltz). This movie is definitely going to be remembered as one of the greats of 2015.
The Good Dinosaur
Release Date: November 25, 2015
Director: Peter Sohn
Cast: Neil Patrick Harris, Judy Greer, Bill Hader, Frances McDormand, John Lithgow, Lucas Neff
When has Pixar failed? Brave? Well that actually wasn't 100% Pixar. Cars? That movie was actually pretty good, until Disney decided to make a rip-off called Planes and destroyed Cars's reputation. Plus, when was the last time you've seen that movie? You're probably like all the other people out there and tricked yourself into thinking it was horrible. It wasn't. Pixar owns the box office when they put a movie out, and it won't be any different here. This movie will be remembered.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Release Date: December 18, 2015
Director: J.J. Abrams
Cast: Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, Anthony Daniels, Max von Sydow
That Millennium Falcon shot, guys; that shot was like going back and watching Star Wars all over again. The amazing fanfare sounded as our favorite spaceship zoomed through the air dodging lasers. Who would have ever thought we'd see another Star Wars? This, guys, is about 60% of why 2015 will be the best movie year of the decade.
Mission: Impossible V
Release Date: December 25, 2015
Director: Christopher McQuarrie
Cast: Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Alec Baldwin, Ving Rhames, Rebecca Ferguson
Tom Cruise is the man. Tom Cruise is the man when it comes to action movies. He climbs skyscrapers, jumps out of cargo planes, and he fights aliens who can restart time. With Jeremy Renner and Simon Pegg at his side, Tom Cruise will make the top of the box office with this movie. This is one movie you won't want to miss.
So there you are. There are the movies I'm most excited for in 2015, and the movies that I think will be remembered for the rest of the decade. I think 2015 will be a tremendous year for movies and fans alike.
Don't agree with me or think a different movie should have made this list? Let me know in the comments below! Thanks a million to all my amazing followers! Marvel on!
