Looks like some of those casting rumors were true! Three names have been added to the X-roster for the upcoming film X-Men: Apocalypse, set to hit theaters in 2016!

The three names are as follows!

Sophie Turner

Sophie Turner, of Game of Thrones fame! Sophie plays Sansa Stark in the popular HBO original series Game of Thrones and has had roles in The Thirteenth Tale (2013) and the upcoming film Barely Lethal.

Sansa is going to play a young Jean Grey in the upcoming X-Men film.

Tye Sheridan

Tye Sheridan has had roles in Mud (2012) and Joe (2013)! Tye's going to portraying a young Cyclops. Cyclops is my favorite of the initial X-Men, but he'll always be second to my favorite X-Man, the "ragin cajun" Gambit!

Who by the way will be played by Channing Tatum!

Alexandra Shipp

Alexandra Shipp has been in Drumline: A New Beat (not related to A New Hope) and the controversial Aaliyah Lifetime Original Movie, Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B. Alexandra will be playing a young Storm! Though I would have preferred Storm to be played by Lupita Nyong'o, this casting choice seems pretty good.

I'm excited about all of these choices, especially the epic accuracy of Sophie Turner cast as Jean Grey! As of now, the importance or significance of these three mutants has yet to be revealed. So we'll just have to wait until closer to the release date of X-Men: Apocalypse to find out!
