I've often thought to myself when reading fan comments on Moviepilot, "Man, wouldn't it be great if we could find a way to talk about the geek culture our fans know and love while giving them a peek at what really goes on behind the scenes?"
As it turns out, the guys behind Cracked.com had been thinking the same exact thing, and when we all met at Comikaze this year, the idea was born: What if we teamed up to launch a brand-new podcast? A podcast where we'd talk about the biggest stories in pop culture, not just from movies and TV, but from video games, comic books, even music? And what if we invited some really cool people, experts, to talk about it with us?
And so Crossing the Streams came to be. We plan on making this a monthly thing, and we hope you join us for the ride as it continues to get better and better!
Every month, I (your humble Editor-in-chief) will join forces with Jack O'Brien (my counterpart over at Cracked), and we'll welcome special guests to bring you an insider's perspective.
In this first episode, we're joined by Drew McWeeny of HitFix, and Scott Mendelson of Forbes as we discuss [Marvel's Agent Carter](series:1119765), [Ant-Man](movie:9048), the Marvel model, what movies we're looking forward to in 2015 - and what trends we hope go away forever.
Have a listen and share it around! And remember, this is the first time we've tried something like this, so I'd love to have your feedback to help shape this thing into something you really love.
