I'm not one for spreading baseless rumors, but this one actually looks pretty likely based on a lot of the info we've heard surrounding the upcoming Star Wars spinoff.
We've heard that the supposed spin-off would feature Han Solo, but we've also heard rumors of another movie centered around Boba Fett.
Specifically, this movie could be about a group of bounty hunters trying to steal the plans to the Death Star before the events of A New Hope.
And yes, Boba would be one of them.
What we didn't consider, however, was the possibility of having a young Han Solo along for the ride.
Well, Latino Review is claiming that a Boba Fett/Han Solo movie is definitely in the works. And if that's really the case...then I'm not really sure how to feel about it.
I don't think most people want a Han Solo movie. Correct me if I'm wrong. First, you have to cast someone who looks enough like Harrison Ford to pass as his younger self.
Then you have to cross your fingers and hope that the kid can pull off the same charisma and charm that made him the Greedo-shooting rogue we love.
It's possible, but not very likely.
The idea of a Boba Fett movie has always been at least a little intriguing. It's well-documented that the bounty hunter never really did much in the original trilogy, aside from act as a glorified delivery boy for the Hutts.
And his apparent, off-screen death was definitely anti-climactic. You'll have to convince an audience that these two adversaries (Boba and Han) supposedly have a history, despite the lack of story between these guys years later.
Aside from all that, I'm a little hesitant to be excited about any project that has the words "Star Wars" and "prequel" attached to it.
But I guess we'll just have to wait and see if Disney feels the same way. They've yet to confirm anything so far.
The Spinoff Star Wars movie will open in theaters December 16, 2016.
Do you want to see a Han Solo/Boba Fett prequel?
