If you haven't seen Pulp Fiction or Captain America 2, you might as well stop reading now. Now, I know Captain America 2 has been out awhile but I wonder how many people caught the Pulp Fiction easter egg in it.
Pulp Fiction is one of my favorite movies and in it Samuel L. Jackson's character Jules goes on to quote the Biblical book of Ezekiel:
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.
In Captain America 2, Samuel L. Jackson's character, Nick Fury, fakes his own death. At the very end of the film, you catch a glimpse of Nick Fury's tombstone:
In case you can't see what it says below his name, it reads "The path of the righteous man..." Ezekiel 25:17.
When I was in the theater, I seemed to be the only one who caught it. Is there anybody else who did and did you think it was as awesome as I did?
