The X-Men on TV? If they go the direction of comic to TV hits like The Flash and Agents Of Shield, we think this could be amazing!

The deal is far from done, but Hollywood broke news this morning that Fox is knee deep in talks to develop a live action X-Men TV series, pending Marvel's blessing, Fox entertainment Chairman Gary Newman confirms!

20th Century Fox is behind all the explosively successful X-Men films to date, but to move forward with the series, Fox would need to get permission from Disney's Marvel, who owns the rights to the comics. 24 producers Evan Katz and Manny Coto are said to be involved with Star Trek 3 writers Patrick McKay and JD Payne developing the script, though nothing has been confirmed. Newman expressed that talks with Marvel would be delicate, as Marvel currently has it hands full in TV as it is.

Though, the X-Men are no strangers to Fox or the small screen. Remember the best cartoon of the 90's, X-Men the animated series, aired on Fox for 5 years from 1992-1997. The opening theme was just TOOO GOOOOD! If the live action series is half as good, then we are SO IN! Also, to whom this may concern at Fox, please for the love of mutant's do not DESTROY the X-Man, Rogue.......this series is her chance for redemption from her horrible portrayal in the films to who she really was in the comics. Oh, and don't forget Gambit and Jubilee! Please and Thanks.

In case your mutant powers hadn't manifested yet in the 90's, here is the Fox X-Men animated series opening (that song tho!).

What X-Men characters would you want to see in the series? Comment below!
