Three-time Academy Award-winning costume designer Sandy Powell (The Young Victoria, The Aviator, Shakespeare in Love) takes a fantasy page from Into the Woods and goes for the timeless blending of different fashion eras in her designs for Disney's new version of Cinderella. The live-action retelling of the popular fairy tale is directed by actor/director Kenneth Branagh (Thor) stars Lily James of Downton Abbey as Cinderella, Richard Madden as Prince Charming, Helena Bonham Carter as the Fairy Godmother, and two-time Oscar-winner Cate Blanchett (Blue Jasmine, The Aviator) looking stylish as the Wicked Stepmother.

An intentional meldling of 19th-Century traditional, tweaked with with fanciful touches of the 40s and 50s; Powell's costumes, as seen in the posters below (shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz), are so eye-catching, the actors are going to have to work hard not to be upstaged.
