[The Amazing Spider-Man 2](movie:508593) was, in my perspective, an amazing movie. Many would debate that but that's not the point of this article.

There is a room. Called 'Secret Projects'. This contains everything that Oscorp tries to hide from the public. Spider-venom, Goblin suits, Rhino suits, Vulture suits, Mysterio suits, Octopus arms, Venom.... you name it. Everything's in there. The [Sinister Six](movie:1274281). But is there really just the Six? There is obviously more rooms than 6. So what is in the other rooms?

Ultimate Goblin anyone??
Ultimate Goblin anyone??

As I'm watching the scene where Donald Menken is taking Harry to 'Secret Projects', I noticed something in a room. The room right next to the Goblin suit.

?? What??
?? What??

Let us look a little closer.....

Wait a second...
Wait a second...

That doesn't look like a room containing a suit or fluid? It looks like a... person.

Who is this figure in the smoke. It has to be a super-powered being to be contained in 'Secret Projects'. Probably another "accident" that they saw potential in and didn't try to dispose of as quickly as they tried Max. They only saw Max as a plank of weird rock.

Now, I am going to give you a list of possible villains this could be starting from least likely to most likely:

Swarm

The Nazi Hive Master
The Nazi Hive Master

This one is highly unlikely but he could always be an experiment subject using the same idea with the spiders. Except Osborne saw the potential of the failed experiment and kept him around. Also it is rather smoky in there which could be a lot of bees buzzing around in there.

Hydro-Man

The Liquid Man
The Liquid Man

This one is just as likely as Swarm. Maybe water helps clean up the Goblin virus but never keep it down. Maybe Norman looked into water and had a failed test subject also with potential. The smoke in the room could be water vapor.

Sandman

The Man of Sand
The Man of Sand

This guy was originally going to be second to most likely on this list until I thought "Why the heck would Oscorp experiment with sand?". They wouldn't have seen much military use or Goblin virus healing uses. They could have seen an application use for it like maybe making sand compact with itself to make a shield wall for the battlefield. Then some poor bloke falls into the sand/chemical mixture and gains sand physiology. Then they keep the poor man and research on him like they did in the Ultimates. The smoke could just be a lot of sand kicked up.

Mysterio

The Master Illusionist
The Master Illusionist

Mysterio is only likely because we haven't seen the suit or anything. If they take the route of Ultimate Mysterio where he has a blue, fiery head then it is on the right path. They could have tried making a stealth/chemical warfare suit for the military and they didn't accept it. Or they were trying to build stealth/chemical warfare super-soldiers but the first subject went insane and they kept him for research purposes. The smoke could be the illusion smoke Mysterio uses so much.

Venom

The Symbiote
The Symbiote

I put Venom lower on the list because audiences would want Eddie Brock's back story and not just him escaping Oscorp. Also, we saw an orb containing a black fluid in an earlier trailer. He could have been a failed test subject on an alien fluid they had found or a Goblin virus healing skin suit like the Ultimate series. The smoke could be a chemical agent that calms down the [Venom](movie:859836) symbiote so it doesn't escape.

Morbius

The Living Vampire
The Living Vampire

This one is most likely because of the Morbius files we saw a small glimpse of in Norman's USB thingy (is it a USB?). They probably saw the most potential in Dr Morbius's self experimentation on bats to make himself immortal. But it ended up on him becoming a vampire and they kept him for research purposes on the immortal part of Norman's survival.
