Back in 2012, the comedic powerhouse writer, director, and voice actor Seth McFarlane released Ted, a movie about a crass, pot-smoking, anthropomorphic bear and his childhood friend John, played by Mark Wahlberg.
To the surprise of the masses, not only was the movie funny, but it also went on to become the highest grossing R-rated comedy ever, clocking in at over $200 million domestic and nearly $550 million worldwide. Naturally, this level of success calls for a sequel.
Now fans of the McFarlane/Wahlberg duo can take a look at the first official trailer for [Ted 2](movie:660778). Check it out below:
From the looks of things, Ted 2 will take a much more political stance than the previous film. Here's what we can expect from the film:
Ted and Tammy-Lynn get married...
Plus Flash Gordon.
And they decide to have a baby, but need John's help.
Ted's social media game is on point.
Ted finds out that he has to prove to the government that he deserves the same civil rights as everyone else
Sounds like a pretty familiar subject.
With the help of Samantha Jackson (Amanda Seyfried)
It looks as if Seyfried will be replacing Mila Kunis as John's love interest.
And Morgan Freeman
Wait...Morgan Freeman is in this movie? What?!
Of course there are some antics along the way...
Nothing like playing a little butt crack basketball.
But in the end, it's all about friendship!
We have so much to learn from you, Ted and John. Thunder buddies for life!
[Ted 2](movie:660778) will hit theaters on June 26, 2015.
