Give me Indy or give me death! Indiana Jones is one of my favorite series of all time. I even have a soft spot for Crystal Skull. So the idea that another could be on the way has me so happy I am starting to feel dizzy. I absolutely love the idea of recasting Indiana Jones. Harrison's portrayal of the character was amazing but his should not be the only portrayal. Harrison made us fall in love with Indy, but his age will keep him from continuing the franchise. And personally, I don't just want more Indy movies. I need more. The Indiana Jones franchise holds so many possibilities. So many story's yet to be told. It cannot end at Crystal Skull. With the rumors flying that Christ Pratt is being eyed for the job, I can't help but feel happy. I've missed Indy. Specifically I've been craving Indy.
I can definitely see Pratt as a young Indiana Jones. Some may argue that he is to goofy (He was rather goofy in Guardians of the Galaxy). But Pratt is an actor. Key word actor. There is no doubt in my mind he could pull of Indy. I believe he could give his own great interpretation of the character. If your not quite sold yet, wait and see how Pratt does in Jurassic World. To me, Indiana Jones has the capability of being similar to the James Bond series. Nobody thought Sean Connery's performance could be topped. However there have been many Bonds since then and in my opinion, Daniel Craig gives Connery a good run for his money. As they say, the show must go on and Chris Pratt is a perfect candidate to carry the torch. Or Whip. He'll do right by Fords legacy is what I'm saying.
If i were to throw another name into the hat (get it hat? never mind), it would have to be Bradley Cooper. Cooper is a phenomenal actor and could most certainly pull of the the adventurer and professor side of Jones. So what do you think Movie-Piloteers? do you want to see Indiana Jones recast? Would you be down for one last romp with Harrison Ford at the reigns? or should the series rest in peace? Sound off in the comments down below!
