But something happened then the Ring did not intend. It was picked up by the most unlikely creature imaginable... A 9 year old fourth grader!
Yes. You read that right. The one ring to rule them all, forged in the fires of Mount Doom by Sauron himself is now in the possession of fourth grader Aiden Stewart... Allegedly.
In a bizarre turn of events, Odessa America are reporting that Aiden has been suspended by Kermit Elementary for threatening (and I use that term lightly) a classmate with the fictional one ring, claiming he could make him disappear... which in theory he could.
The threat came following little Aidens recent obsession with the Peter Jackson directed Hobbit trilogy as his father revealed the family had been to see “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” last weekend. His father made light of the situation:
"I assure you my son lacks the magical powers necessary to threaten his friend's existence," Jason Stewart wrote in an email to the New York Daily News. "If he did, I'm sure he'd bring him right back."
This isn't the first time the 9 year old has courted controversy. Two of the disciplinary actions this year were in-school suspensions for referring to a classmates colour of skin and bringing his favorite book to school: "The Big Book of Knowledge." due to illustrations of a pregnant woman.
“He loves that book. They were studying the solar system and he took it to school. He thought his teacher would be impressed,” His father Jason Steward said.
My advice to you Aiden is to journey to a beautiful place called the Shire. There you will come across a stranger dressed in grey referred to as Gandalf by the locals. (Always say no to strangers unless in the shire) From here, he will lead you to a band of Hobbits called Frodo, Samwise, Merry and Pippin. Together you will journey to the house of Elrond in Rivendell. From their you will attend a council. You have only one choice. The Ring must be destroyed.
