Anyone who was worried that Fifty Shades of Grey would be desexed and sanitized for its cinema debut can breath a sigh or relief because it's set to be the naughtiest mainstream movie in decades.

The onscreen adaption of E.L James' erotic smash hit will be crammed with more sex scenes than the 100 naughtiest films of 2014 put together, and a staggering fifth of the movie will be bedroom antics.

In fact, the dozens of 'Red Room' romps will make up 20 minutes of the movie's 100 minute running time.

Director Sam Taylor-Johnson insists that the whole thing will be a tasteful affair, but admits it was difficult to not make the sex feel 'gratuitous.' She explained:

The thing that was most difficult was how and where to pepper the sex, and to not make it feel like it was gratuitous, so it had to be a really strong part of the story, and I had to give characterization to each sex scene, to make them different

While Taylor-Johnson has tried to tread the line between pleasing fans and censors, she acknowledges that her offering might not be hardcore enough for some. She told The Guardian that:

I didn't want it to be graphically explicit, and I know that's going to be disappointing to some people. It's the build up and titillation of touch and sensuality. So I don't think it goes into the realm of porn

Even though [Fifty Shades of Grey](movie:391697) won't exactly be a XXX extravaganza, it's probably still best to leave your mom at home to avoid a case of severe third degree blushing.
