Last week, Chris Hemsworth got wet and wild on The Jimmy Fallon Show, proving once again why he has been repeatedly referred to as the Sexiest Man Alive.
If you missed the wonderful moment that got everyone drooling on their TV sets and computer screens, take a look at the video below:
Clearly, his current stardom is a very far cry from his Australian Outback upbringing and when it comes to being one of the most attractive men in Hollywood, he's simply in a league of his own. I mean seriously, check out those dance moves!
For all you avid superhero fans out there, you may think that you know everything there is to know about the Aussie hunk who holds Thor's hammer. Take a look at the 9 insane facts about Chris below and see if you really know The Avengers star as well as you might think.
1. Hemsworth was born on a Thursday, the day of the week named after Thor
Clearly, it was meant to be from the very beginning.
2. Liam and Chris were both up for the part of Thor
Thankfully the tremendous role of the Norse god of thunder went to Chris. We couldn't have imagined anyone else! Even if it was his own brother.
3. There is a third Hemsworth brother
The eldest sibling is called Luke and he is also an actor! In fact, he was the first of the brothers to enter the acting world. He is particularly well-known in his native Australia and is expected to come out with a few films this year.
4. Chris and wife Elsa Pataky have three children
The couple have been married since 2010 and are already parents to daughter India Rose, who is almost 2 years-old and 10 month-old twins Tristan and Sasha.
5. As kids, Luke and Chris would wrap Liam in “protective” clothing and shoot him with air rifles in their backyard
Chris admits that:
"We'd stalk him around our backyard with air rifles and shoot him [...] I feel like the worst brother in the world. But he had a great time, okay?"
However, Liam struggled to see the funny side, saying:
"I'd bend over to feed the guinea pigs and I'd get a pellet in the ass out of nowhere [...] It really hurt."
6. All three brothers have appeared on Australian soap Neighbours
Naturally, not all at the same time. Luke starred in 13 episodes in 2001, Chris was in one episode in 2002, and Liam was in 25 episodes in 2007. It seems all Australian superstars start off this way!
He's also spent three years on Home and Away, a show which also helped launch the careers of stars such as Naomi Watts and Heath Ledger.
7. Chris is a very keen surfer
He now tries to surf as much as possible in his free time, ever since a shoulder injury prevented him from pursuing a football career.
8. When he's not wielding a mighty hammer, Chris also waltzes
Well no, not really. Just that back in 2006, he did a stint on Australia's Dancing with the Stars, where he tangoed and sexy samba'd his way through a variety of performances. Check it out:
Sadly, he was the sixth contestant to be eliminated.
9. He gained 20lbs for his role of Thor
Apparently, he actually gained too much weight and then struggled to fit into the costume! Well, I'm definitely not complaining...
On cheat days, he says he is more than happy to indulge in "pizza, hamburgers, beer, sugary things [...] Everything I'm not allowed to have!"
Keep doing what you do Chris, you gorgeous man!
