We all know that Disney princesses have become favorites for fan artists to reinvent in new and creative ways. We've seen their waists doctored, their ethnicities swapped, their clothing changed and how they would look as piles of rocks! Now the insanely talented Tim Shumate is turning our Disney gals into amazing permanent works of art - tattoos! His princesses even come complete with their own tattoos, each themed to the movie they starred in!

Take a look through Shumate's awesome creations and check out more of his work here or here.

Snow White

Complete with her woodland friends the birds tattooed on her arm, this Snow White looks slightly different from her usual timid self, though it seems she's still 'waiting for loves true kiss.'

This 'bayou beauty' looks amazing with her green and pink lotus flower tattoos <3

While someone getting the name of their significant others tattooed on themselves is often a risky choice, I think in Belle's case it's totally fine! After all her and Beast are a total match made in heaven - 'till the last petal falls!'

This Rajah tattoo makes Jasmine look like a total bad-ass! Tim says that the Arabic on the ribbon is supposed to mean 'Royal Blood,' though he's unsure how accurately it has been translated, definitely a cool sentiment though.

Ariel is one of my fave Disney princesses and I love this tattoo! Naturally Ariel would have to have an anchor tattoo and I love the nod to Japanese artist Hokusai with the wave tattoo!

Another lover of little creatures, Cinderella looks adorable with her matching finches on her collarbone, and her pumpkin carriage and clock on her arm. 'Keep on believing' is the perfect motto for Cinderella (and life, really).

Alright before you inundate the comments: I know that Alice isn't a Disney princess but it only seemed right to include her in the round up because, well, look at her! While she doesn't have too much of her own ink, I do like the subtle black spade and diamond on her right shoulder, and it looks like she might have a red heart and diamond on her left shoulder.

Pocohontas looks like the picture of beauty in this awesome tattoo, and did you know that she is the only Disney princess to have a visible tattoo?! So seeing as she already had her own ink in the film, it's only fair that Shumate has given her a bit more! The compass tattoo speaks for itself, really, and I love the Meeko one as well.

Surrounded by birds and roses, this sleeping beauty looks like her always flawless self! Her Maleficent dragon tattoo is an interesting choice, perhaps she's keeping her friends close, and her enemies closer?
