I guess I like superhero films, the Office, Harry Potter and a Avatar TLA

I want to start this off by saying that I'm a DC fan boy and it pains me to say that Marvel is wining the war when it comes to making superhero films. DC is the comic-book movie version of the Sony PlayStation systems and Marvel is Microsoft Xbox. The Xbox is more popular than it's counterpart even though PlayStation has a better gaming experience, exclusives, and community yet the Xbox is hailed as the "Holy Grail" of gaming consoles. Marvel has been dominating in the box office with great movies and blowing DC films out of the water. I believe there is no way DC can make a comeback and take it's rightful place as king of superhero films.

I had so much hope for DC after hearing about a Superman reboot years ago. I was so excited I would not stop bugging my mum about it and when the first trailer was released I dropped to my knees and cried! The inner fan boy in me was saying "f**k yes! This is it! This is going to be the film to top those turd Fergusons at Marvel!" I remember going to the cinema to see Man of Steel and walking out somewhat satisfied with it and still hopeful for DC, but that hope was somewhat diminished after hearing the announcement for Batman v Superman. I know what some of you guys are thinking right now, "what the hell is this guy talking about? Batman v Superman has a lot of potential" but I have to disagree with you. I believe they are jumping the gun with Batman v Superman. It is way too soon to make a Justice League prequel or any other film featuring another hero along side the man of steel. Yes Marvel beat DC to the superhero team up movie but that doesn't mean DC has to take it to this level. It feels like they're cramming so much into to one film to make up for lost time or because they're under pressure from their competitors.

I was sorta okay with Batman being in the next Superman film because he's BATMAN and Ben Affleck is an awesome actor who can be a great Dark Knight. Once I heard that Wonder Woman, Cyborg, and Aquaman were going to be in the film I was more disinterested than excited. It's like Spider-Man 3 but instead of too many villains there are too many heroes. (Lets hope Clark Kent doesn't do that whole strut thing that Peter Parker did) Putting all these heroes into one film is just a bad idea in my opinion. What if Batman v Superman fails? Then the guys down at Warner Brothers will have to go back to drawing board or decide making DC superhero films are not worth the time and money! We just got a really good modern day Superman and surrounding him with all these other heroes in the same film can take away from his story. They need to further establish Superman before they make a versus/team up film. Once they build up his story and create a stronger fan base then they can start making Justice League films. Plus if the film completely bombs then what are they going to do about the other stand alone films they're setting up for with Dawn of Justice? It's like how they thought they were going to make a second Green Lantern film. When I saw Sinestro put on the yellow power ring during the post credit scene I laughed so hard. They couldn't have been serious when they made that. They need to take things slow and not make promises they may not be able too keep or this can blow up in their face.
