Welcome! Welcome, friends! Welcome to the article that's going to give you that long-awaited CONFIRMED look at the newest hero in the Avengers' ranks. And here's the thing...

... I'm being serious.

So far we've seen some questionable material from slightly ambiguous sources, at some kind of promo event:

Awesome... Just... Awesome.
Awesome... Just... Awesome.

And of course:

Nice cape...
Nice cape...

So we can see thus far that there isn't much to go by. There's not much to speculate about based on these pictures - nor is there too much to actually realize about his character.

I mean, sure, he look kickass and all - but the pictures aren't of the best quality, and even if they were, I'd sure still be wanting to see him look a lot cooler.

And this is where I come in.

Ladies, gentlemen... gentlemen, ladies... I give you, your first confirmed look at The mighty Vision!

Okay - now that is what I call awesome.
Okay - now that is what I call awesome.

These images are sourced from a recent Marvel-Fathead team up, which is actually official. Fathead have produced some art on behalf of the upcoming sequel to the amazingly coveted Avengers Assemble.

Following in its predecessor's footsteps, [The Avengers: Age Of Ultron](movie:293035) is expected to be one of the best-selling grossing films of this year. And hey, after the first film made 1.518 billion just at the box office - who's to argue with them?

Yeah, I know.
Yeah, I know.

We can see above that the android is staying really quite loyal to his comic-like look, which for me, is great. I really hope his role in the films is a little different to his position in the Age of Ultron graphic novel - because if he's that loyal to the book he's not going to be doing much of anything, really, anytime soon.

A whole bunch of mega awesome promo art was also released by the aforementioned company Fathead, so feel free to go ahead and check it out.

We've heard also that the Vision isn't going to have an amazingly large role in the next Avengers installment - he's been quoted as being only a small role at the end of the film - maybe a last resort for the world's finest before the inevitable end-of-movie battle.

When asked about his role in the film, director Joss Whedon said:

It's going to be portrayed that Vision feels paternal and protective to a number of people in the film, particularly Scarlet Witch.

Which again indicates not only are his looks loyal to the comics - but his emotions are too. We know that Vision and Wanda Maximoff have previously kept up a somewhat troubling relationship - and I think, for the MCU, that'd be an interesting concept to play around with in future. I really hope we're going to see some more love interest seeds planted among the havoc that the homicidal AI Ultron will wreak.

She'd make for a good psycho ex girlfriend...

So - taking it all into account - are you guys hyped for the Vision? If I wasn't already amazingly over-excited, I sure am now. Damn... make it May 1st already! Let me know your opinions in the comments - or take the poll!
