I'm a huge fan of the artist Rocky Davies' work, which I've written about before. This time RDavies has taken some of TV, movies, and comic book's greatest villains and given them a spin as awesome '80s albums. Each villain has not only been made over with some vibrant neon colors and class '80s style, but Davies also includes a fitting song to accompany their new look.
Not only is this series really fun, but it's also gorgeous and definitely one of my current favorites on DeviantArt.
Freddy Krueger, Nightmare on Elm Street
I'm pretty sure Freddy could tear up some teenagers and the dance floor with those gloves.
Skeletor, Masters of the Universe
Although I'm not sure exactly sure if Skeletor's sunglasses serve a functional purpose, I still like his style.
Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, Ghostbusters
Stay Puft has no problem staying cool when things start to heat up.
Baroness, G.I. Joe
Amongst G.I. Joe's many fantastic villains, RDavies decide to go along with the always badass Cobra Commander lieutenant. An awesome choice.
Davies puts it best in his description:
Xeno Mophenson had a good career for a couple years. All until that scandal of him eating his backup band. How do you rebound from that?
True, true. Also, which mouth does he sing with? Can they harmonize?
Maybe it's difficult to sing without lips, but I'm sure Predator doesn't let that hold him back from killing it on stage.
The Joker, Batman
I would love to listen to the Joker's eerie rendition of "Mad World." Is he on Spotify or what?
Shredder, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Shredder was performing masked long before Daft Punk hit the scene. Not to mention, his album cover has pizza on it so...I think we have a winner.
Dr. Doom, Fantastic Four
So who rules Latveria when he's off on tour?
If you're anything like me and thinking Wow, those are awesome! I wish I had thoat on a t-shirt, then you're in luck! Davies' gallery was so well received that he made t-shirts available featuring his work for purchase HERE.
Which villainous print would you most like to wear?
