It has been announced that Luke Mitchell has officially joined the cast of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D as an Inhuman by the name of Lincoln. It's said that Lincoln is going to be introduced in the second half of season 2. His character will be helping Skye (Chloe Bennett) in understanding her new of how to use and control her new Inhuman abilities.
This is the first time that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D has has officially referred to a character as an "Inhuman". I think it's an exciting turn that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is taking, as we all know that there is going to be a Inhuman film in the future. Since the start of season 2 it seems like [Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.](series:722469) is going to be a major cog in the MCU, more then what we may have expected. Linking to future films like this and to the current films in the pipeline. The introduction of Luke Mitchell's character Lincoln shows the beginning of an introduction of more Inhumans into the show.
“With the revelations surrounding Skye’s true identity in the Winter Finale, we knew we’d be introducing more Inhumans as our story progressed,” Executive Producer and Marvel’s Head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb, tells Marvel.com “The charming energy Luke brings to the role that will make him a character to watch as we continue our season.”
Luke Mitchell is best known for his role of John Young in "The Tomorrow People" Also he is known for his roles on "Home and Away," "H20: Just Add Water" and "Neigbours"
I think the introduction of Luke Mitchell as Lincoln and more Inhuman characters is going to make the second half of season 2 even more exciting then the first half.
Now all we have to do is wait another month to find out what happens next.
Not that I'm counting down or anything.
What do you guys think of the Inhuman storyline and Skye's transition?
