Johnny Depp, a Hollywood heartthrob for young girls, even though he is over 50. WAIT WHAT? That's right ladies and gents, Johnny was born in 1963. He's been on the silver screen for many MANY YEARS, so I think it's time we take a look back at some of his life's work...

Johnny made his debut to the big screen in 1984 with Nightmare on Elm Street. Depp was only 21 at the time. Casting came down to him and one other actor. Director Wes Craven let his teenage daughter choose which she thought should play the dreamy boyfriend and she chose Depp. I think we all owe her a thank you!

His next truly big break came from Edward Scissorhands. He played a role in the television show 21 Jump Street prior, but being cast as the skittish yet loveable Edward was the break he was looking for. After Edward Scissorhands (1990), he had more frequent movie roles, that skyrocketed him to stardom.

That same year he starred in another movie, Cry-Baby. The '50s throwback film was a hit and it lead him to more success.

In the 2000's he began the series that brought him back to the forefront of the public eye, Pirates Of The Caribbean. Beginning in 2003, the series, originally just a trilogy, now has 4 movies released to bluray/dvd and a 5 one is set to release in 2017.

The next film he will in is set to release in 2017, where he reprises his role as the terrible, loveable Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass. I'm sure he will make just as big a splash with it as he did the first.
