After it was announced that director, Tim Burton, purchased the rights to author Ransom Rigg's book, 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children', the cast for the upcoming film adaptation (2016) has been revealed & its a great one so far! But before I get to the fabulous cast reveal, here's a little synopsis of what this book is about for all you readers who haven't picked up the novel yet...

'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children' takes place where 16 year old, Jacob Portman, is following clues after a family tragedy which later leads him to a mysterious island, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of Miss Peregrine's School for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores the abandoned bedrooms and hallways, he discovers that its former occupants were far more than peculiar; they possessed incredible powers. And they may still be alive.

Of course a Tim Burton film has to star the one and only Eva Green as orphanage director, Miss Peregrine. Green has previously worked with Burton in the movie, Dark Shadows, which also starred, Johnny Depp. Playing lead role alongside Green as Jacob Portman, is Asa Butterfield who starred in 'Ender's Game' & 'Hugo'. Acting as his love interest in the film will be Ella Purnell as Emma. Purnell is known for her starring roles as teen Maleficent in the hit movie, 'Maleficent' with Angelina Jolie & also the hilarious 'Kick Ass- 2.' It's been recently announced that Samuel L. Jackson will be playing villain as character named Mr. Baron who is known as Jacob's former bus driver. 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children' will be in theaters March 4th, 2016.
