Star Wars actor Richard Bonehill - most famous for his portrayal of Lando Calrissian's co-pilot Nien Nunb - has tragically died at the age of 67.
The actor filled multiple roles in the iconic franchise, appearing in both The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi as a Stormtrooper, a TIE fighter pilot, and a rebel soldier. His most recognized performance, however, was his role as the Sullustan smuggler, Nien Nunb (pictured below).
The British actor also worked on Flash Gordon, Highlander, The Avengers, Doctor Who and Sherlock.
More recently, Bonehill had held the position of President at the Truro Fencing Club in the UK, where he trained as head coach for 12 years.
The club had the following kind words to say about the esteemed actor:
We are sad to announce the sudden passing of our President & former Head Coach Richard Bonehill, a great leader & an inspiration.
He will be sorely missed. R.I.P.
