Marvel.com just dropped a bomb on fans of the MCU, Spider-Man, The Avengers and super heroes in general. A deal has been struck between Sony and Marvel Studios to bring Spider-Man to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The story can be found right HERE!

Let the speculation begin! When will Spidey make his debut? Civil War!? Infinity War!?

What we do know is that there will be a new Spidey and that he will first appear in an MCU movie. We also know that Sony will continue to distribute the Spider-Man movies after that and Marvel will look to share some of their own characters in Spidey movies.

This is the most incredible and exciting news comic fans have gotten since the announcement of the Phase 3 lineup.

Rejoice Marvel fans! Today is a good day!

UPDATE: Marvel has now announced that hey have pushed back the release dates of four of their Phase 3 movies. Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Captain Marvel and Inhumans have all been considerably moved back.

This opens up the July 28 date for the first solo Spider-Man film that, while still being produced by Sony, will take place in the MCU.

The excitement continues to grow!
