Lucky Japanese Naruto-fans will soon be getting their senses bombarded with song, and maybe a bit of dance, when the manga behemoth tears to the stage in the guise of musical theatre.

Yes, musical theatre.

Called Live Spectacle Naruto, the stage production will open its doors in March performing in Tokyo, later moving to Fukuoka, Miyagi and off shore with performances in Singapore, Malaysia and Macau. Here's the synopsis for your eyes...

One day, at dawn, the mischievous boy called Naruto gets suspected of the missing book full of Ninja’s prohibited alchemys. Amid the furor he was trapped to know the secrets of his birth. When he was delivered, the legendary demon fox with nine tails was sealed up in his body.
Naruto gets terribly shocked to know the fact, however, he was encouraged and supported by Iruka, one of the teachers at Ninja Academy, so that he managed to graduate from the school.
Now that Naruto and his classmates start their duty as fresh-man, it means the beginning of a journey where they are forced to face challenges and fatalities as well as Naruto’s personal struggle and friendship with his fatal friend Sasuke.

If you're feeling a bit apprehensive at the fact that there is a Naruto musical out there in the world, at least you can take heart in the fact the cast look totally awesome and like bonafide badass cosplayers. Come, check them out!

I do have to say, the cast look friggin' cool in costume! I'm guessing Live Spectacle Naruto won't be making it over to the western shores, but at least we can live out our days with the knowledge that in the world little bits of awesome are happening.

What do you guys think?

Would you go and see the Naruto musical?
