So, as we all know, Spiderman broke everything yesterday with the announcement of Sony and Marvel having "shared custody". This means another reboot of our favourite web slinger, a shared franchise, and, unfortunately, a massive set back in the some of the Phase 3 movie dates.
Of course, Marvels Phase 3 was comprised of Thor and Captain America's 3rd solo adventures, as well as Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Inhumans, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and Avengers: Infinity Wars Pt I and II. But now that Spiderman has joined the roster, several of those movies will have later release dates in an attempt to reboot Spiderman to have him ready for Infinity Wars.
One of the movies I was beyond stoked for was Inhumans, for obvious reasons. But there are rumours floating around that that movie may be scrapped entirely, leaving it up to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D to pick of the story line and introduce them into the MCU. With the "birth" of two Inhumans already started in the mid-season finale, it wouldn't be much of a stretch for the TV series to take up the Inhumans mantle. Honestly, I think that was the plan all along.
What do you guys think, though? Sacrificing the Inhumans for the sake of a fuller, more accurate Infinity Wars? Let the debate begin in the comments below.
