This is my first post ever on here so what better way to do it than with a huge announcement like this.

Last night it was officially announced that Sony and Marvel have reached a deal bringing Spiderman into the MCU, finally! Now with this deal Sony will still ", distribute, own and have final creative control of the Spiderman films." What the deal is doing is allowing Kevin Feige to be a producer with the Spiderman films and allow spidey to interact with the res of the MCU. Spiderman is supposed to appear in a Disney MCU film before making his first stand alone MCU appearance on July 28, 2017. The stand alone film will be co produced by Feige and Amy Pascal, who oversaw the initial launch of Spiderman films 13 years ago. This is the basic summary of the announcement on Marvel's website and I will post a link here if you want to read more.

Now the fun part of analyzing what else the announcement might have told us, possible spoilers if they end up being true.

There are two major things I noticed when looking at the picture that came along with the announcement of Spidey. 1) There is no Hulk and 2) Captain America looks a little different. When it comes to the Hulk I know rumors are going around about his outer space fate at the end of Age of Ultron, so this is a more obvious observation that he is not in this lineup of Avengers. The part that really interested me is the new look of Cap. For those that do not know the comics as well the Captain America in this picture is actually Bucky (or the Winter Soldier) in the comics and not Steve Rodgers. Could this announcement possibly hinted at the fate of Chris Evans's Captain America in the MCU?? Did they actually hint at Steve Rodgers possibly dying like he does in the comics and his friend Bucky taking over his role? Obviously this is just speculation on my part and nothing is absolutely confirmed yet about that but it is something to think about if you are super crazy about this stuff like I am.

I hope y'all enjoyed my first post on here. Let me know what you think and let me know if you got any other interesting ideas from the announcement as well.
