With the recent announcement of Spider-Man joining the MCU for a cameo in Civil War, and a stand-alone film in 2017 many are beyond excited (including me!) For me Spider-man has always been a great character because of his villains. So, who will the face of evil be in the first Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man movie?

So, taking out recently used villains such as Venom, Sand-Man, Lizard, Electro, and Green Goblin we still have a wall of characters. Now take out the c- list characters including Beetle, Jack O'Lantern, Hammer-Head, Jackal, The Enforcers, Molten Man, Hydro Man, and Boomerang.

I'm not saying these villains can NEVER be used, they just have to introduce a cool villain for the first film in the franchise. So, take your pick of a-b list characters including fan favorites such as Vulture, Kraven, Mysterio, Shocker, Scorpion (Personal Favorite), Chameleon, Hobgoblin, Hobgoblin and Green Goblin, Rhino, Venom, Kingpin, and of course Doctor Octopus.

I suggest we have two villains. Many say more than one villain format makes the film worse, but in reality it's the writing that makes or breaks the villain(s). So, my suggestion is we have both Kingpin and Scorpion.

Why Kingpin? Because Kingpin is a pivotal villain to both Spider-man and Daredevil. That's right bitch, Daredevil. What if the first film in the franchise is a Daredevil/Spider-man team up film. It would be an interesting way to spruce up the generic Spider-man formula. It would also bring in fans from the Daredevil Netflix series.

Just think of the possibilities of both Daredevil and Spider-man fighting Kingpin and destroying his criminal empire. This would force Kingpin to result in creating a villain that could finally squash the Spider - Scorpion.

I may be jumping the shark here but what if after Avengers 3/4 Marvel produces a New Avengers Vs. Dark Avengers? You could tie in Mac Gargan as Venom and introduce us to the friendship Spider-man and Daredevil have.

That's just my opinions. What are yours? Drop a comment detailing who and why ____ should be the Spider-man villain.
