Spiderman will undergo another big-screen makeover as part of his return to the 'Marvel Universe' thanks to a new deal between the comics, Giant & Sony Pictures Entertainment, which owns the film rights to the charector, Variety reports. The new movie is slated for release on July 28th, 2017.

The two studios will cast a new Spiderman/Peter Parker for the reboot, though no decisions have been made yet. Over the course of Sony's five Spiderman Films since 2002, the titural hero was played by Toby Maguire in Spiderman 1, 2, 3, and most recently Andrew Garfield in 'The Amazing Spiderman' & 'The Amazing Spiderman 2'.

While Sony will distribute and retain financial & creative control over the new Spiderman Pictures, the movie will allow to join the charector in the Marvel's ever-expanding universe. With set to bring their mid-2000's 'Civil War' comic storyline to movies next year, It's likely that the new Spiderman will make his first apperance in 'Captain America:Civil war', slated to open May 16th, 2016.

Spiderman's return, however does force Marvel & Disney to reshuffle their already packed movie schedule. 'Thor: Rangnarok', will now open on November 3rd, 2017; 'Black Panther will arrive on July July 6th, 2018; 'Captain Marvel' moves to November 2nd, 2018; and 'Inhumans' has been pushed back to July 12th, 2019.

Amidst all this Marvel is preparing the launch of its 'Defenders franchise', a handful of a new TV series for Netfix that begins on April 10th with the priemere of 'Daredevil'. Marvel also release the 'highly anticipated' follow up to the 2012 blockbuster 'The Avengers' this spring, with 'Avenger : Age of Ultron' arriving on May 1st.
