First jobs are the worst. Everybody has to start to somewhere, and more often than not, it's somewhere pretty awful. Retail stores, restaurants, bars, delivery services - you know the drill.

Luckily, most of us can bide our time in full knowledge that in just a few months time we will move on to bigger and better things, be it college or a promotion, and forever delete that embarrassing stain from our LinkedIn accounts.

But what if you're a budding actor whose big break is just around the corner? Yes you may go to be incredibly successful, famous and wealthy but, as I'm about to prove, you'll never be able to bury that first job deep enough for nobody to find!

It's hard to imagine when they're rich and famous, but most celebrities had very humble beginnings, just like you and me. Some had normal jobs, some not so normal, some down-right hilarious!

1. Channing Tatum was a stripper!

Channing Tatum didn't just play a stripper in Magic Mike. He was one.

He did it for eight months when he was 19.

2. Whoopi Goldberg was a morgue beautician!

Before that she was a humble bricklayer!

3. Johnny Depp was a call center salesman!

He sold ballpoint pens over the telephone.

4. Madonna worked at Dunkin' Donuts!

She said she was sacked for spilling donut jelly over customers!

5. Brad Pitt was as a chicken mascot!

Yep, it's hard to imagine now, but this Hollywood heartthrob was once stood withstanding 100-degree heat outside of an El Pollo Loco restaurant on Sunset Boulevard.

6. Kanye West was a sales assistant!

At a GAP store, of all places!

7. Eva Mendes sold hot dogs!

She was one of the girls you see selling hot dogs on a stick in the shopping mall.

8. George Clooney was a door-to-door salesman!

Imagine if you had a cold caller at the door it turned out to be George Clooney!

9. Vince Vaughan was a lifeguard!

He worked at his local YMCA!
