So Mathew Vaughn has spoken out about the future of Kick-Ass and everything that comes along with it. Here is what he had to say below...

Mathew Vaughn Speaks...

HOLY MOLY
HOLY MOLY

Now we all know that many people had their own opinions about the Kick-Ass sequel. Some good, some not so good, but could a Hit Girl prequel work? Could it make up for the Kick-Ass 2 downfall? Well lets go over some of the key points.

RECAST

Adios Chloe:(
Adios Chloe:(

Now obviously there would be a recast for the young foul mouthed assassin. Chloe Grace Moretz just celebrated her 18th birthday on February 10th (Happy Happy Birthday by the way Chloe!!!), so it's obvious that her playing a version of Hit Girl that would be younger than she was in the first Kick-Ass movie would be very unlikely. I love Chloe's work in everything she's done and her as Hit-Girl just worked perfectly, so seeing her go would be a tad bit strange and sad. It would be difficult to think of any other little girls being able to pull off a line such as "Okay you cunts. Lets see what you can do."

But, on the upside...

HELLO BIG DADDY
HELLO BIG DADDY

It's pretty obvious that Nicolas Cage would have to come back to reprise his role as the bad motherfucker we all know as Big Daddy and that alone would make me and I'm sure a lot of you want to jump on board with this film. One problem with Kick-Ass 2 was the lack of Big Daddy. They pretty much replaced him with Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars and Stripes which I dug, but they killed him off way too early I thought. So with Cage on board this could most definitely be worth seeing.

How Old Is Hit Girl gonna be?!

BAD BITCH
BAD BITCH

Since this would be a prequel, Hit Girl would have to be younger that the 10 year old that she played in the first Kick-Ass. But the question is how old will they make her and will it work?

Do You Trust Mathew Vaughn?

Now I for one trust anything Mathew Vaughn does. I think he is a brilliant mind and filmmaker. I think another problem with Kick-Ass 2 was that Vaughn wasn't sitting in the director's chair. I personally really liked Kick-Ass 2, but to me it was obvious that Vaughn wasn't directing. I've also been hearing nothing but good things about his new film Kingsman The Secret Service, so lets put some faith in Mr. Vaughn.

Don't Call It a Comeback, I Been Here For Years.

Reunited and it feels so good...
Reunited and it feels so good...

Vaughn has hope that if the prequel succeeds, that he can convince Chloe Grace Moretz and Aaron Taylor-Johnson to return as the dynamic duo. I'd love to see them back at it again. This could also lead to the possibility of us seeing Hit Girl finally go to prison just like in the comics. Just imagine Hit Girl in prison and just beating the f*** out of anyone that crosses her path and then later getting broken out. Pretty much just think of Hit Girl being in Orange is the New Black. It could be epic! There is a lot more to come if they can get this franchise back up and running.

But what do you guys think? Are you in on this idea of a Hit Girl prequel and the possibility of it reincarnating the Kick-Ass movies? Let me know in the comment section below!
