Definitely, the biggest surprise of this year has already happened, with Spider-Man being announced for Captain America: Civil War. This isn’t all, since the studio is already rumored to be courting these two actors (Dylan O’Brien of The Maze Runner and Teen Wolf, and Logan Lerman of Fury and Percy Jackson) for the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man. But this isn’t all either, since a Spider-Man solo movie is also in the works, in a way scratching all the plans Sony made for sequels and spin-offs. Thus, the Spider-Man movie is set to be released during the Phase III, on the 27th of July 2017. And this definitely changes the release dates of some of the movies already scheduled during the Phase III:

The original schedule
The original schedule

The new schedule: 2016

  • May 6, 2016 – Captain America: Civil War
  • November 4, 2016 – Doctor Strange

2017

  • May 5, 2017 – Guardians of the Galaxy 2
  • July 27, 2017 – Spider-Man
  • November 3, 2017 – Thor: Ragnarok

2018

  • May 4, 2018 – The Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1
  • July 6, 2018 - Black Panther
  • November 2, 2018 – Captain Marvel

2019

  • May 3, 2019 – The Avengers: Infinity War – Part 2
  • July 12, 2019 – Inhumans

This will be indeed tricky, since the Inhumans are already present in Agents of SHIELD and since, at least in the comics, they play an important part in the space-heavy events such as Infinity Wars. But now, as we see, Inhumans will be released after the events of Avengers: Infinity War. How will this play out? We will wait and see…
