The first image of Daniel Craig as James Bond in the next 007 film, ' [Spectre](movie:660009)', has appeared online today (pictured above). The British secret service agent is pictured in a snowy mountainside, seemingly ready to infiltrate some kind of (assumingly) hidden mountain base - and we can't wait another minute for it.

James Bond is famous for various snow-centered settings throughout the years, some of them have been the most famous for Bond. One of the most famous Bond films was its sixth film in the franchise, 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' - Which was George Lazenby's only trial as the super spy, but also one of the most pertinent in the entire series. This movie had it all, including one of the best looks at S.P.E.C.T.R.E. - what the newest Bond film's title is clearly referring to.

S.P.E.C.T.R.E. as described by the classic series was a notoriously evil criminal organization run by the crime lord himself, Ernst Stavro Blofeld. In 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service', Blofeld's main base was located in the snowy mountains of the Swiss Alps where 007 and Blofeld met face to face. Now, the Blofeld in the older series was what you would now consider to be - cheesy, very cheesy. We'll just say that Mike Myers' representation of Blofeld in Austin Powers (Dr. Evil) was more honest than it was parodying.

The thing is, we already know that there has been rumors floating around that the character of Blofeld will be making his modern, re-visioned debut in Daniel Craig's 'Spectre', but nothing official is currently confirmed. It wouldn't be too far off, seeing how Blofeld is the head of the S.P.E.C.T.R.E. organization, but if this is so, one thing is for certain - the revamped Blofeld has to be a worthy opponent that can return for several Bond films. At the same time, they don't want to make the same mistakes as the first, making Blofeld look like Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget. "I'll get you next time, Bond!" is not the kind of attitude that would fit in with Daniel Craig's theme.

However, if this film is anything like 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service', you must recall that the sixth film in the franchise also featured the one and only time James Bond married a girl, just to have her taken from him by Blofeld at the last second. It was an emotional scene that was one of the most referred-to moments in the entire franchise for several films. We have already seen James Bond fall in love as Daniel Craig, can he take it that extra mile and marry once more. If so...will Blofeld sweep in at the last second and change Bond's life forever? It would be an unforgettably massive throwback to the older series.

If anything is for sure at this point, it's that 'Spectre' won't be a movie that anyone should be missing.
