For years, people have been hearing mysterious, foreboding, mechanical type noises around the Earth without explanation. The source could never be identified. It was blamed on machinery, electronics and even the Earth’s moving tectonic plates, but not a single scientific mind could locate the cause of this strange phenomenon.
One day the source of The Hum was revealed, and all the conspiracists were wrong.

In 2005, the FBI sent homicide detectives to investigate a series of unsolved disappearances and deaths in Nome, Alaska. Most of the victims were Native villagers. This was made into a movie recently, titled up as The Forth Kind.
Between the 1960s and 2004, over 20 people mysteriously died, or vanished. In 2006, the FBI concluded that "excessive alcohol consumption and a harsh winter climate" were to blame for the disappearances. This was not for a second believed by anyone including the reporting FBI agents however, the bureau did not want to cold case these events or cause further fear or hysteria of 'The Unknown'.
The Hum: Abductions is a first person horror game, under development using the powerful and visually appealing Unreal Engine 4 engine.
Thought of as an immersive and frightening story driven game, Abductions is a prequel for The Hum Game, The Alien Invasion Simulator, both parts of a huge sci-fi / horror universe called The Hum Universe.
In “Abductions”, you will play the role of Holly Sanders, a mother and wife, who is living hard days since her husband’s mysterious vanishing, months ago.Lonely and disturbed, with her little son Dan as only company, Holly will uncover the past and present events of the Sanders family, while facing a terrifying approaching revelation.

Typical claims of abduction involve being subjected to a forced medical examination that emphasizes their reproductive system. Abductees sometimes claim to have been warned against environmental abuse and the dangers of nuclear weapons. While many of these claimed encounters are described as terrifying, some have been viewed as pleasurable or transformative.
This is now officially on our 'one's to watch' list. Survival horror is certainly flavour of the month. The Hum: Abductions however is bringing the psychological horror into play. This new type of horror aims to target your emotions and ignite a primal fear deep within. This being said, be prepared for some serious jump scares too.
