Imagine a world where Hollywood actually listened to our demands to see certain actors in roles only they could pull off way better than those who actually got the part. Well technically we do. But it seems that not all our demands are valid. And that's understandable because some have the face and physical appearance but just can't really bring the character to life. That's why it's good to have a casting director, you know. Now...I won't keep boring you with things I think about every time I watch a movie.
Suicide Squad is just around the corner and the cast, so far, is more than what I was expecting. Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Will Smith, Jai Courtney and Cara Delevingne? Sounds great to me!
There are a few that haven't been casted yet or might not be casted until a later time all together...but I wanted to throw in a name many remember from that little movie called The Matrix...
No, not Niobe, guys. I know that Jada Pinkett-Smith is already Fish Mooney on Gotham and we won't be seeing that crossover happen. Nope, not Morpheus. Laurence Fishburne is the Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Planet in Man of Steel.
How about the main man of The Matrix himself?! Neo!
I just finished watching the John Wick movie and I have to say that it was epic! I totally loved it. Almost had a Equalizer or Taken feel to it but Keanu Reeves made it feel new and fresh at the same time. And Keanu hasn't really been in any big hits in a while. So this would be an awesome way to keep him coming back with the John Wick franchise.
Back to the Suicide Squad! As of yet there are some characters that haven't been casted, so it leaves me thinking about who could actually play those missing parts? After watching 47 Ronin (great movie, by the way) I started thinking Keanu needs to be in a superhero movie as soon as possible! Marvel seems to be casting great actors all around their universe. But DC has been taking risks that have led them to the success we have witnessed so far and I can't blame them. All the castings are purely awesome. I can't wait to see Ben Affleck's depiction of the Dark Knight. Keanu Reeves can be a risk as a hero but as an antihero - or even a villain - he would be amazing. He could easily join the dark side!
Bear with me. If you haven't seen John Wick just know that it's a must-see movie! While I was watching the movie I saw how great Keanu Reeves is as an actor and how he could bring that antihero role to life so easily and effortlessly. Not only that, but his fighting skills? AH-MAZE-ZING! He's also great with a gun, a knife and pretty much anything he get his hands on. Reeves even trained in martial arts for the part of John Wick. He was really dedicated to this action-packed role. You can see where I'm going with this, can't you?
Reeves seems to fit the part of being a Suicide Squad member perfectly that not only knows martial arts but is also great with guns...gee...who could he be?! Wait! Duh! The only other man that can keep Batman on his toes. No not the Joker. Death Stroke! I could see Keanu Reeves embodying Death Stroke easily. There was a scene where Reeves loses it in John Wick and it just made me think, That's Death Stroke right there! Well, look, how about you just check it out:
Could you imagine?! DCCU needs Keanu Reeves' edge!
