The Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary brought together some of the luminaries from the legendary comedy showcase for a terrific hurrah, but, in possibly more exciting news, it gave us a snap of our new ghostbustin' heroines, unfortunately not in costume though.
Leslie Jones, one component of the all-woman team of phantasm fighters, tweeted an image from the SNL anniversary party of the Ghostbusters looking suitably lovely and ready for the onset of any invisible, ethereal creeps. If they happened to be in a dinner jacket. They are Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon respectively.
Jones was evidently living it up with her new team mates, and even managed to nab some selfies with a few stars along the way.
Plans are underway for Paul Feig's reboot to begin shooting in New York, aimed at a July 22, 2016 release and I'm very interested to see what Feig and his fellow screenwriter Katie Dippold manage to pull out of their ghost trap.
