50 Shades of Grey... horny book, but corny movie? I don't think so.

This movie has hit a huge record breaking $82 million on the opening and more coming... which is great!

However, people, mostly women, entering the theater with one emotion for the first 2 minutes, resulted in a bunch of chickens with their heads chopped off near the end ... this movie has been a huge money success but not an over all crowd pleaser?! But why?

Well, in Scotland things got way out of control! A male moviegoer was allegedly assaulted after he tried to tell a group of women to be quiet! -- not bad enough, all three of the women (aged 31, 38 and 51) were arrested and put in a police van, loaded drunk. Women were throwing up in the aisles! The staff had to tidy up blood, booze, food, and wipe down seats! -- COME off of it women, get a grip on life and act your age!

The man was okay, thankfully!

I mean we even have petitions being made to ban the movie from the screen because it wasn't a "romance" and because it was violent, however it's okay to act like this in a theater... Like REALLY!?

Some complaints were: "we want MORE sex, more nudity! We never saw enough dick!" BUT the BIGGEST was violence which lead to many scampering off not .... "pleased"! ...

Do they plan to remove Hunger Games? Friday the 13th? The Interview- oh wait they tried. Obsessed? The Boy Next Door? .... + nope. I think the majority of the reason they want it banned is because they never got the thrill they wanted, if that's the case re-read the damn book or look somewhere else!

Did they read the books at all?

I read the books, of course how could I not pass on the chances of finding out new and exciting ways to spice up my sex life as I was told and so I thought until ...

After reading parts like this:

“Does this mean you’re going to make love to me tonight, Christian?” Holy shit. Did I just say that? His mouth drops open slightly, but he recovers quickly.

“No, Anastasia it doesn’t. Firstly, I don’t make love. I fuck… hard. Secondly, there’s a lot more paperwork to do, and thirdly, you don’t yet know what you’re in for. You could still run for the hills. Come, I want to show you my playroom.”

So I read this, and I was like ... "okay? he's a creep, I like it!, maybe she should run? ... but again she is young and naive." Clearly he isn't into the romance in the beginning, he doesn't know what love is. He warns her to leave, and she doesn't. Dripping wet by his "romantic" gestures, she plays as his puppet and deserves what she gets! Am I cruel to make that assumption? I think not.

Is it too harsh for me to tell everyone to get the fuck over it? Probably, but hey, it's my opinion and if you can voice yours, I can voice mine right?!

Here are a few more quotes from the book for those who either didn't read it, or skipped it fox the sex stuff:

“There's a very fine line between pleasure and pain. They are two sides of the same coin, one not existing without the other.”

“I have fallen for someone who's so emotionally shut down, I will only get hurt- deep down I know this- someone who by his own admission is completely fucked up.”

― E.L. James, Fifty Shades of Grey

I mean after reading it, I could clearly see that there was an intense un-easy feeling between the two "lovers". I sensed danger, lust, excitement and pleasure sure. Anyone who overlooks the sex should be able to see this. The movie takes those "unseen" parts to screen, and that's what made a lot of people unhappy. Everyone was expecting a porno and were wrong!

We have violence, domestic violence, rape, sex, lies, hatred, romance, flirting, kinkiness, and abuse. We have a story, fiction! Yes,these things do happen in real life, these things are happening in other people's relationships all the time!

There are LOADS of movies based on these relationships or lifestyles. I have horror movies that have WAY more violence than this. We have stalker movies, thrillers, action packed, documentaries, you name it!

What irritates me with all this controversy, is that almost 90% of the time a movie is made AFTER a book, they are never the same and no one is ever pleased. What did they expect?

Maybe this is an eye opener, maybe NOW people can see that a relationship may seem "entertaining" but they are actually a victim?? Hmm, so many thoughts here...

To end my little rant, I want to say that a movie is fiction, unless you take out your own camera and document your own life, a MOVIE is something we are to watch and either enjoy or not like. We don't need to start a war, we don't need to act out, we don't need to follow the characters point of view and we don't need to cry over it because it's not what we expected.

I'm a horror movie fan, I love to see people getting sliced up, bashed on the head, running for their lives, crying in pain, tortured, murdered, and scared. (Yes I'm a twisted fuck) When I watch a movie that I expect to be "spot on" and it isn't, yeah I get a little upset but do I throw a conniption fit over it? No way! I get over it, and watch something else!

I just don't know what to say really. I mean, to me the movie was great and so was the books. I enjoy these things, if that makes me a creep, sign me up!

I'm sure many agree with what I have to do, and I know I'm going to get a lot of comments that I really won't care for .... that's life.

In another 9 months, there will a big population boom - Grey babies... are you having a Grey baby?

What are your thoughts of the movie? Have you read the books? Do you agree?
