Hi, I am Rachel Moss, Lady nerd, high-pressured Animator from England who escapes through illustrating juvenile images with a juvenile reminiscence.
I’m your average student by day and a crime fighting, deadline meeting, body clock destroying superhero by night; striving to do what we all desire: to enjoy what you love.
I like to escape to the fantasy world of sci-fi and comics, and just be a foolish in my drawings; removed from the technicalities and precision that validate a degree.
When drawing, my approach is to return to a childlike innocence, embedding humor and humility into my ideas and execution.
Superheroes are so sleek and cool these days, whereas I favor the amazing, flawed and comical representations of superheroes, much like Grant Gustin’s portrayal of the Flash is trying to pioneer in a popular trope. It is these flaws that I like to focus on, to show that even superheroes are kids pretending to be adults sometimes.
This is a short series of drawings, created on an iPad, designed to capture the childlike innocence that can exist in all superheroes. They were all kids, and are all people outside of their disguises. I wanted to capture the innocent , child-like aspect of super heroes; even superheroes wetting the bed, being afraid of the dark, and playing house...sometimes.
He ain't no super hero, but just make things a bit more awkward heres a sexy pin up of Kevin Spacey (Lester Burnham) From American Beauty
I'd love to create More of these Ipad doodles, if you have any ideas, i'd love to here and collaborate on please tweet me and follow ! ^_^
