When it comes to Studio Ghibli movies, and especially to the numerous masterpieces written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, there aren't too many ways to make them any more magical. Arguments over whether the subtitled, original language or dubbed versions are superior may linger on, debates over which of the many movies is the greatest may fail to disappear, but there is, ultimately, no real way to better the achievement that is already there.

What can be added, though, is a fittingly awesome tribute to the genius of Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli - as some of the internet's accomplished cosplayers have proven over the past few years.

Here are a few of the best, focusing on Miyazaki's iconic Howl's Moving Castle...

hybridre Walks on Air

With bonus awesome boots...

kirawinter Brings an Old-School Sophie Alongside Howl

With the smokestack in the background very much adding to the atmosphere...

AGflower Brings Calcifer to Life

With a charming fire effect, no less...

AliceinIvory Charms Turnip Head

Oh, Prince Justin...

And, my personal favorite:

ycysusan Gives Howl and Sophie Some Grandeur

In a particularly beautiful field...

What do you reckon, though? Is there any even greater Miyazaki cosplay out there?
